Relieve Stress With Holy Basil

Blue Bottle Mockup (1)Holy Basil Excels for Stress Relief.

Holy Basil is the common name for the Tulsi Plant.

Holy Basil definitely fits in today’s world.

People are dealing with stress on a daily basis.

From balancing household chores, dealing with office work, and attending to personal duties, people find ways to deal with stress the best they can. For so many, Holy Basil IS the best way

Psychologists believe that a normal dose of stress is healthy. Stress produces the hormones cortisol, epinephrine and nor-epinephrine which is helpful in improving memory, making one perform tasks faster, increasing the body’s resistance, and improving the heart function.

However, too much of these hormones may have a deadly effect on one’s body. Too much stress is known to age a person faster than they should, increase the risk of heart diseases and even cancer.

Stress management is an essential skill that one must learn if one wants to survive the challenges that this generation faces.

The health and wellness industry is a booming business. Wellness spas, health programs, organic foods are becoming not just a trend but a necessity that people avail and incorporate in their lifestyle to manage stress.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars a year are spent to be able to cope with stress. However, there are other means of managing stress that do not have to be costly.images

Stress management has been around longer than you may realize. Since thousands of years ago, in the subcontinent of India, people have been using Holy Basil to reduce stress. Every home in India has a Holy Basil plant in their garden or yard.

For the Hindus, this is considered a sacred plant and is regarded as the reincarnation of Lakshmi, the wife of Vishnu.

The Holy Basil or Tulsi leaf has been used for three thousand years to maintain wellness and balance in the body. People have been using it for its medicinal properties.

lSome would use it as a tea in order to alleviate stress in the body. Scientists believe that this herb contributes a lot in eliminating stress.

In a study conducted recently, the presence of stress hormones found in the body is immediately eliminated upon consumption of the leaf.

Aside from reducing the level of stress hormones, it is also a preventive agent since after consumption, they also maintain normal hormone levels even if the person is subjected to stressful situations again.

Laboratory tests also show that Holy Basil increases the resistance of the body from viral attacks, boosting the immune system, lowering the sugar levels, preventing the progression of cancer cells, and aiding the liver in its functions.

Aside from the physical benefits that the body gets, there is also an effect in the mental wellness of an individual upon consuming this herbal medicine. This promotes good memory, and is known to treat general anxiety disorder and depression.

However, like any other medications, taking too much of Holy Basil also has its downside. Holy Basil is known to be a blood thinner. It is discouraged to take Tulsi leaf when an individual is about to undergo an operation since the person will be prone to bleeding.    Also, it should be avoided when taking other drugs that are known to thin blood or react with blood thinners. Beautiful Flickering Flameless Candles Remote Controlled

If you enjoy the peace, and tranquil atmosphere of candles, you will really love these.flameless candles

These pillars look and act just like a traditional candle; flickering light, made of wax, will melt.http://amzn.to/1KZF471

But they eliminate common candle fears: no fires, no melted wax spills, no smoke, no burns

They are a one time purchase that doesn’t diminish , becomes new with each use.

Will never become part of that stash of half used candles that you have always intended to do something with . . . but so far, never have.

There are four candles in the set; ivory pillars, 2×2, 2×3, 2 x4, 2×6 which can be controlled by the  included remote, or not – your choice.

The set comes with CR2032 Batteries included. Candles and remote take the same battery. Replacements are easy to find, and inexpensive.  Amazon has them

.Under $20

Is your candle history something like this?_MG_3185 amz (2)

Because of fire danger, you don’t place a candle near the drapes, or forget to blow it out, however you can still get serious damage from the  candle the cat tipped over.

Wax, wax, wax – everywhere. Table cloths, furniture, carpets …

So you try the candles in a glass container. Good idea, bad results. Your twenty dollar candle burns half way down then you A) cannot reach in far enough to light the dumb thing or B) it is now drowning in its own wax

Then you discovered plastic, battery operated candles. Wow – this is the answer. So you go get one. And the experience is much akin to sitting in a room with a flashlight. It simply isn’t the same. It is the wrong color light,

it is stagnant (candles move and flicker – that is a big thing about fire, we like the movement,) and they are seriously plastic.

The wax we hate sometimes is so much a part of the tactile thing, we now forgive it for melting all over our table cloth and head back to the store for more pricey candles because we LOVE THEM!

24.JPG 1kNow you have these candles.

One cost, one time.

Four candles that are actually made of wax, with flickering lights that are not a horrible florescent blue color but the warm yellow you want from a candle.

No fire, nothing melted all over the place – no trying to shove your hand down a jar and living to regret it in the name of lighting something,

No fuss at all.

Very realistically designed with the tranquility of “why we love candles” in mind.

These also come with a remote control so you can simply stroll into another room when the moment is right without hesitation.

Never again having to go into some spitting, blowing, very-not-sexy moment to make sure the house doesn’t burn down.

With Wylin’s Flameless Candles, the only thing on fire will be you.

RFID Credit Cards Can Be Protected

RFID credit cards can be protected in aluminum cases that defy scanning.

Most cards issued in the last few years are RFID credit cards.

They include a microchip.  And this means the numbers are imageseasily stolen.

Over a third of all credit and charge cards currently in use in the USA are now RFID scannable.

As card issuers are renewing cards, they are including a tiny chip in them.  This is an RFID chip, which stands for Radio Frequency IDentification.

These cards are now considered wireless, as they need not be touched by anyone or anything other than the issue-e.  They do not have to be swiped, they can simply be scanned.

The objective is to speed up check out lines, simplify identification,

The chips hold all your numbers, expiration dates and security codes. When you go up to the counter, you swipe your card near a small RFID scanner, and your charge is registered. Put your card away and leave the store.

Copy of IMG_1864.jpg 1000And hope the bad guys didn’t also scan your unprotected cards.

They are not very apt to have done so while you were checking out.  But, with the small and easily acquired scanners that are available now, they might have gotten your numbers while you were in line, standing at another counter, shopping some isle; actually, almost anywhere.

You may think this impossible, because your cards never came out of your purse except at the check out counter. Doesn’t matter.

RFID scanners can scan your cards right through your pocket, purse or wallet.  Even through your hand.

This is a super stealthy form of pickpocketing, and easy to do.

The newer scanners are quite small and inexpensive. (Try eBay for under $50). Some even come with cards to use for duplicating. Most will scan from several feet away.

So the person with the folded newspaper, or purse under his/her arm, looking at the magazines, could be scanning your cards while you are looking at the candy bars,

And you have just had your card numbers stolenimages.

Then, they can easily make phone, or on-line purchases. Many have the ability to make and use duplicate cards.

If you don’t protect your cards, you are quite likely headed for considerable inconvenience at the least.

Do you check your statements every month? Carefully?

These thieves can make small purchases at stores common to everyone’s shopping patterns, that never alert the bank, and can easily be looked over by you.

If there are purchases, for, say under $100, at a super market in or near your neighborhood, and using your Bank Visa card numbers, how easy do you think it will be to convince the bank you didn’t make the purchases?

Especially considering you still have the card in your possession?

You don’t have to be a victim.   You can protect your self from identity fraud.

Cards in an aluminum credit card case cannot be scanned.

These cases are not hard to find.

The Benefits of RFID Credit Card Cases

 RFID Safe Card Case

Aluminum RFID credit card cases will protect one from credit card theft  by scanning

With technology comes convenience. That’s one advantage that many of us are attracted to these days.

Consider the credit card. It allows expediency in transactions as you don’t have to bring a bag of money with you all the time.

However, there are drawbacks.

What we focus on are the benefits that we can obtain. We only take precautions when something nasty has already happened.

The thieves are way ahead of us.

With credit cards, brilliant thieves have found ways to steal identities, most especially now when credit cards are already equipped with the rampant RFID technology.

What exactly is RFID technology?

It is an acronym that stands for Radio Frequency IDentification, which enables credit cards to be read by scanners by means of radio signals.

It eliminates the hassles of swiping, which was how credit cards were made in the past. Although these swiped cards are still very much in use, the RFID cards are slowly occupying the throne, making it the ultimate choice for anything that operates on the premises of cards for ease in identification, manipulation, and tracking.

imagesGiven that RFID cards may be easily scanned by a special RFID scanner, which come in many sizes, and can be easily bought or even crafted by an evil techno-genius, it’s like having a placard of personal identification numbers hanging from your neck every time you go out – your numbers are right there.

It is for this reason an RFID credit card case is crucial since you are going to own the newer RFID credit cards. This is perhaps the best way by which your information can remain under “maximum protection” even when you’re on the go.

Identity thieves thrive anywhere. They can be sitting beside you at the park or a coffee shop or bump into you at the mall. You won’t have any idea that something has been stolen from you.

That is how sensitive RFID cards are. Unfortunately and ironically, that is how insensitive people have become. People rely on cashless transactions these days for just about any purchase, no matter how small or how large.

RFID cards are the majority of those issued in the last 3 years.

If you do most of your purchases with credit cards, be extra vigilant, especially if you have an RFID equipped card. It offers just as much vulnerability as having a zipper-less bag loaded with cash. You are making yourself such an easy prey if you are to remain carefree with your RFID card.

An aluminum credit card case is your best option to block RFID scanning.

Copy of Copy of Wylins FB 007.JPG 180x433This way, it gives you a sense of peace when you go out; you won’t have to worry too much. This reduces  the chance of identity theft. Even if there are a million others who can be a victim and you think you’re far from that position, bear in mind that thieves or hackers are anywhere and could be anybody. It can be someone across from your train seat or the one three feet behind you at the deli counter. You can never be too sure with them, so stick to the cliché – better safe than sorry.

Protection is probably part of your lifestyle. Most people spend quite a bit for car and home insurance, and still more for alarm systems. If you want to protect your credit cards, a thin hard aluminum case may not even go beyond 20 bucks so it is actually cheap insurance. Really very little if you consider all the potential problems associated with having your cards compromised.

The average cost to a victim of credit card theft last year, was $641.00. Thats just dollars.  It coesn’t include frustration, time, fear, and inconvenience.  And, who has $641 they are willing to loose?

An aluminum credit card case is your best option to block RFID scanning. And they are easily acquired. The Wylins Company has designed one especially for women and is making it available on Amazon.com.

The decision to make their designer case for women available on Amazon.com was an easy one for this company to make. Wylins  believes in the policies, the shipping schedule, and the ease of purchase that is found on Amazon.com. But that is not the whole story behind the decision.
While aluminum credit card cases are readily available, quality is not. Of course, quality is important. You want to be sure your credit card case is guaranteed to protect your cards.
And, the biggest reason is Amazon.com is available to everyone. It doesn’t matter if you live in a large city, or in a remote village. Amazon.com is available world wide. So by promoting the RFID credit card with Amazon, Wylins feels we are making it more easily available to more women.

RFID Credit Cards Can Easily be Hacked

http://amzn.to/1TqQiCK   RFID credit cards can easily be hacked by identity thieves.

New credit cards, Radio Frequency Identification cards in particular, make shopping and other transactions a lot easier.

However, many are wondering if these new cards are actually safer than the traditional ones. A lot of consumers are worrying that the security technology behind these RFID cards can easily be hacked by identity thieves.

Instead of having to follow the traditional and standard checkout method, wherein you would have to swipe your card and wait for your receipt, all you would have to do is place your RFID card near (around 1 to 4 inches away) the scanner. This then results in much faster transactions. In addition, you no longer have to remove  your card from your wallet just to have it scanned.

The Dangers that Wireless Theft Poses on New RFID Credit Cards

Unfortunately, the higher level of convenience that the RFID bring comes at a cost. Along with the merchant’s, store’s, or seller’s reader, unscrupulous individuals may also target your card and get the information stored in it.

Criminals such as identity thieves can purchase a cheap scanner, put it inside their bags, 4 - Copystand near you, and take what they need. Again, they can do this while your card is still inside your wallet, which is inside your pocket or purse.

Identity Theft is a Part of Social Media

Social Media can contribute to real problems.

The sad truth is that identity theft is a part of social media, and no one is immune.

Do you really know how vulnerable your information is?images

Separately, each bread crumb you leave around the web is harmless, but an identity thief that pieces them together can damage your credit, be it personal or business credit.

Julie Myhre, Editor at NextAdvisor.com offers the following list of . . .

7 ways to avoid identity theft on social media networks:

1. Keep your personal information private:

The previous report – 2012 Identity Fraud Report – by Javelin included social media behaviors, and found that of the people with public social media profiles, 68 percent shared their birthday information, 45 percent of them included their full birth date; 63 percent shared their high school name; 18 percent shared their phone number; and 12 percent shared their pet’s name.

It is always better to omit information about yourself rather than include it on your social media. Just because there is an option to include your current city doesn’t mean you have to. Instead, opt to include a generalized version of that information or no information at all. For example, San Francisco Bay Area is a general option for Burlingame, CA. It still gives some information, but makes it a little more difficult to figure out your zip code or home address.

2. Set strict privacy settings:

Go into the settings for your Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram and Linkedin, and edit your privacy settings. Make sure you make all of your personal information — such as your birthday, current location, workplace, etc. — private or visible to only your friends.

When your privacy settings are more lenient, you’re giving strangers easy access to all of your information

3. Don’t tag or post your specific location:

Tagging or posting your specific location is an exciting feature, but not everyone needs to know where you are at all times. It makes you and your home vulnerable, especially if your profile is public

It’s fun to let your social media friends know that you’re at Disneyland with your sister, however you’re also letting everyone know that you’re more than 100 miles away from your home, which makes it available for break-ins.

images4. Know your friends/connections

It’s important not to make you or your information vulnerable to people who you have never met before in real life.  Steven J.J. Weisman — lawyer, author and professor at Bentley University — said that befriending people that you don’t know makes it easier for them to take the information on your social media and use it to find more information about you.

“These ‘friends,’ who don’t know you gain access from your Facebook page to personalized information that often can be used to make you a victim of identity theft,” he said,” often by providing information that can permit someone to learn or reasonably guess your email address or answer your security questions.”

Don’t just add someone as a friend because they wanted to add you. There is such thing as a “decline” button, and you should use it every now and then. If someone adds you, and you’re unsure of who they are, you can always add them, then unfriend, unfollow, unconnect, etc. if you realize they’re a stranger.

5. Always log out of your social media:

This is especially true when you’re using a public computer at a library or hotel. The reality is that we all have some private information on our social media — even if it’s only our name and a photo — and you don’t want to give someone easy access to your identity.

6. Use strong passwords

Passwords are one of the keys to protecting your identity, so make them effective.

7. Use an Internet security software suite:

This software protects your identity when you’re surfing the web or using social media. Weisman said that sometimes you will open a link or download a file included in messages from “friends,” and, without your knowledge, the link or file contains a keystroke malware program that can steal all your personal information from your computer. “You trusted the message because it came from a ‘friend,’” he said.

A way to prevent this from happening is to get anti-virus software that prevents, detects and removes malware to keep your identity safe. Most Internet security software suites come with identity theft protection features like anti-keylogging, secure environments or encrypted password protection.

The only real solution:

While all of these steps are helpful in preventing identity theft on social media, Ravi Bhatia of Highly Relevant in Los Angeles said the only way to truly protect your identity on social media is to not use it. “People should use social media only if they’re willing to accept the small chance that it can ruin them,” he said. “If they fear the consequences, then they should avoid them at all costs.”

Bhatia is not the only one with this sentiment, but for those that use social networking sites, at least use the seven steps above to safeguard yourself and your business.

Protect Your Credit Cards From Theft –

Unless you have the guaranteed protection of RFID Credit Card Holders for Women . . .

Thieves can get your numbers . . . Easily

With a small RFID scanner thieves can get your credit card numbers right through your pocket, wallet or purse without you knowing about it.

It’s true. images

How does that work?

There are small RFID chips currently being put into your charge and credit cards.

It is high-tech pickpocketing.

My friend has had her card compromised twice, in the last year..

She found purchases on her statement that she didn’t make. Strange, because she still had her card in her purse.

Hard to convince the bank that she didn’t make those purchases, when they were for reasonable amounts, $67.40, and $97.61, and at a near-by super market. But, though local, it wasn’t one she shops at. Plus she was visiting me that weekend, and I live 80 miles away.

So how could this happen?

Now days credit cards have a chip built into them which allows for Radio Frequency Identification scanning.

Newer cards don’t have to be swiped, they can just be scanned. Like they do UPC codes.

It is very much like the chips Veterinarians insert under the skin of pets so that their lost owners can be found. They scan them right through the skin and retrieve the information that was put on the chip. Wonderful for pets.

imagesNot so great for the rest of us.

The bad guys can get a scanner very easily (try eBay). These scanners can work from a distance and scan right through your purse, pocket or wallet.

They don’t have to bump into you nor even get close. They just point their hidden scanner at you. Now they’ve got your numbers and can create another credit card.

That’s what happened. She figures it happened at Disneyland.

A thief could scan you anywhere, and crowds are probably the easiest for them, but we’re not really safe anywhere.

Her bank finally issued another card with new numbers, but, what a mess getting all her accounts changed.

She’s protected now, and so am I. We found an RFID Credit Card Holder for Women on Amazon that is guaranteed to protect against RFID. They’re small, and sooo cute. Very unique, feminine.and great color choices.

I strongly recommend everyone get a case that is guaranteed to keep your charge cards safe. It isn’t worth it not to if you consider the hassle when card numbers are used by the wrong people.
